Wudnshu Photography is owned by Jeffrey P. Koopman, a man who has been given a gift and a passion for showing others the beauty and splendor that God continuously shows us through his creation. Jeff also sees beauty through normal, everyday life, through architecture, the beauty and art of automotive engineering, and through the faces of the people he knows and loves. Now he wants to share these visions with you, through his photography, faith and words.
Jeffrey Koopman, the owner and photographer, is currently finishing his Associates of Arts in Photography, at Amarillo College, and will continue on with his education of the field with work towards an Associates of Art and Science in Photography.
He has done photography as a hobby for the last 15 years and sold his first work to a gallery while stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado in the early 2000's.
Jeffrey specializes in nature photography and has a primary focus on landscape and wildlife. In the upcoming year, he plans to branch out into family portraiture and headshots. He also enjoys, and has developed a passion for, high end automotive photography.
Wudnshu Photography is also trying to get connections and contacts together for its first professional body of work, entitled, "The Faces of Autism," after Jeff's son was recently diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). The body of work would consist of close-ups of the faces of people, both young and old, who have been diagnosed and living with neurological conditions that fall under the umbrella of the Autism Spectrum Disorder. These pictures will mostly be done in black and white so as to increase the mystery and the beauty of the faces of these unique and gifted individuals. The body of work will also include some candid shots as well as hoping to bring some awareness to these conditions and these people who mainly just want to be understood and accepted.
Jeff currently resides in Amarillo, Texas, with his beautiful wife, Tara, and his gifted, energetic and all-loving son, Kamden. The family's little angel, Kaidance, also featured in some of the works, unfortunately went to heaven, shortly after birth, to be with her LORD, her Grandma Shirley (Jeff's mother), great-grandparents and other relatives and friends, long passed. He is currently still serving in the military through the Texas National Guard, with a total time of service at approximately sixteen years, so far. SGT Koopman has been deployed to three tours of duty, to include two tours in Iraq, as well as a six month peace keeping deployment to Kosovo. He has spent six and a half years as active duty Army in such places as Baumholder, Germany; Ft Carson, Colorado; Ft Sill, Oklahoma and four months of OSUT (One Station Unit Training) basic training at Ft Knox, Kentucky. This soldier has been through at least twelve different countries and is looking forward to the day when he can look back at it all and say that he has, indeed, served his country well.
